What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis utilises the unconscious mind to facilitate change in patterns of thinking and behaviour. In an altered or dream like state the mind is relaxed. The unconscious mind becomes more available. No drugs are involved.
Hypnosis is safe. A person experiences this pleasant and relaxing state of being. Some people go deep into this experience. Others are not as deep. Either way each person benefits from being in a hypnotic trance.
In this dream like state the possibility of change becomes more available.

Modern hypnosis was developed by James Braid who found that people could go into a kind of trance by the use of eye fixation on an object such as a watch or even a spot on the ceiling. Hypnosis was initially used in the work of Sigmund Freud and is now widely accepted by both the medical profession, dentists and the general public.
